Filipino Doctoral Nursing Award

This award recognizes the work of Filipino nurses who completed their doctoral nursing dissertation between 2012 and 2015.

Eligibility:

● Filipino registered nurses.

● The dissertation is a final requirement for a PhD Nursing (Administration, Education), Doctor of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Science in Nursing and Doctor in Nursing Management degree.

Recipients will receive a medallion, certificate, and special invitation for professional membership to the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society.

Nominations are solicited from deans of the nursing school or nursing organizations in the Philippines.Nomination letter should accompany an updated curriculum vitae, a 150-word bio, bound copy of dissertation, electronic copy of the dissertation abstract and 2 x 2 photo ID. These documents must be emailed to the Recognition Committee of the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society eo@betanudelta.com and admin@betanudelta.com  


St. John of God Senior Leadership Award

This award will be given to a maximum of three graduating seniors who have consistently worked and succeeded in enriching and impacting student life and is committed to the values of Student Life throughout their career at their university/college. Nomination should be received by 30th of March 2017.
Eligibility:


● Undergraduate nursing student with a minimum GPA 85 without the benefit of rounding.

● Must be a graduating student in 2017.

● Individual has contributed to making a positive impact on the campus climate and has demonstrated committed involvement in clubs, organizations, programs, or other area of campus involvement.

● Individual acts as an inspiration to others, modeling the way for a more just and humane world and is committed to working with and for others.

● Participation was above & beyond the general requirements given by academic or co-curricular programs.

● Must not be on academic or non-academic probation for the last four semesters including second semester 2016.

 

St. Camillus de Lellis Nursing Award 

The St. Camillus de Lellis Nursing Award is presented to an undergraduate nursing student who has overcome difficult circumstances in their lives with grace, courage, and strength and inspires others by his or her example. Nomination should be received by 30th of March 2017.

Eligibility:

● Undergraduate student with a minimum GPA 85 without the benefit of rounding.

● Individual exemplifies courage in the face of difficult personal circumstances and inspires others by their example. Difficult circumstances may include an illness or physical disability, financial hardship or a family tragedy.

● Must not be on academic or non-academic probation for the last four semesters including second semester 2016.



Visiting Nursing Professorship

Overview

The Visiting Nursing Professorship is established on April 2018 with the objective of strengthening nursing academic and research capacity in the Philippines. The program will be used to support an accomplished academic leader whose teaching and research has had a significant impact on nursing. 

Our list of professors includes an outstanding record in either or a combination of academic, practice and research in nursing.

Typical profile of a visiting professor: doctorally-prepared; publications records, and strong leadership skills.

Possible activities of a visiting professor at a host institution include the following: presenting a lecture, facilitating a workshop, conducting a research, mentoring, among others. Visiting professors may be engaging for at least, 4 days to a maximum of 12 months with a host institution.  


Procedures

1. A host institution (nursing school or college) may send an expression of interest to the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society to host a visiting professor. This communication shall be addressed to the program chair at the following email addresses: eo@betanudelta.com and admin@betanudelta.com Subject: Visiting Nursing Professor

2. The program chair may send a program pack (invitation letter, schedule of activities, among others)

3. The program chair may allocate a visiting professor.

4. Upon endorsement from the program chair, the host institution may directly coordinate with the visiting professor for detailed requirements.


Host Institution's Responsibilities

  • Provide courtesies  (host ID card, library privileges, dedicated email address (@school.edu.ph), access to study and research facilities, access to computing facilities or services)
  • Provide modest accommodation and local transportation
  • Provide refreshment
  • Provide per diem (based on host applicable remuneration policy)
