Nursing books and journals have finally arrived in Jolo, Sulu after months of waiting.

Dr. Charisma Ututalum and academic staff members at Sulu State College received the books.

Christian Pedrosa, a lecturer at the school of nursing at the Australian Catholic University's North Sydney campus initiated this book drive. The goal of this project is to provide Filipino nursing academics and students with the latest professional information they need to most effectively serve their communities.

This generous donation of books is going to make such an impact to our educators and students here,” said Dr. Ututalum, the first nurse to become president of the said state college.

The Australian chapter of the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society coordinates this project. It is responsible for finding potential institutional recipients.
