Dr. de Jesus Received WMSU Alumni Award

Recently, Dr. David de Jesus was recognized with an outstanding alumnus award in the field of nursing from Western Mindanao State University. This event comes at the heels of the university's centennial year celebration.

Dr. de Jesus is currently a Director of Nursing for Critical Care at Women's Wellness and Research Center, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Doha, Qatar.

When asked about his recent recognition, Dr. De Jesus said "It was such an honor indeed. I am pleased and deeply moved by this recognition. So elated I am included among the distinguished group of awardees by my alma mater".

Further, he said "It is a remarkable 15 months journey and productive stay with HMC, and definitely loving my new job. I just move to Qatar last Oct 2018 after spending 17 years of my nursing service (from Head Nurse then rose to the rank of Director of Nursing) in one of the prestigious hospital in Holy Makkah, Al Mukarramah, Kingdom of Saudi  Arabia."

Dr. de Jesus received his BSN degree at Western Mindanao State University. He likewise obtained his Master's degree in nursing administration and a PhD degree at Central Luzon State University. 

He holds membership with the Philippine Nurses Association, Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society, Sigma Theta Tau International, among others.
