As many as 300 plus participants attended 2nd National Nursing Research Webinar (NNRW) held on 24 September 2020 via Zoom platform. NNRW is a flagship project of Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society in cooperation with the Nursing for Humanity, Visayas State University's College of Nursing, Zarate Memorial Fund and the Philippine Nurses Association-Caraga Region. Dean Joel Acob, RN, DScN opened the virtual event emphasizing the event's theme “Knowledge Development in Nursing for a Better Health, Better Philippines”. Dr. Acob said that the "webinar envisions the latest updates of emerging topics in nursing and healthcare from our leading doctoral nursing researchers in the Philippines". Nita Jane Carrington, RN, EdD, ANP, MSN, MBA, MPA, delivered her keynote speech. Dr. Carrington is a Professor Emeritus, Hawaii Pacific University. Three experts from various universities in the Philippines served as presentors. Their researches were products of their doctoral research projects.
Prof. Faye Felicilda-Rivera, RN, EdD (Adjunct Faculty, American Sentinel University and Missouri State University) provided the closing remarks. With such success at the 2nd webinar, the organizing team is already making plans for next year. |
