Advertising, Sponsorship and Endorsement Policy

Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society provides a range of services, activities and opportunities for and on behalf of nursing community.

DEFINITIONS

“Donations” are either goods, services or money given with no return expected.

“Endorsement” is the public support of organisations, products or projects that aid the cause

or policy or interests of Beta Nu Delta, and the nursing community

“Fundraising” is the systematic process to secure additional funds for the operational budget.

“Sponsor” is defined as a corporation, business or individual that provides support for the

operation of Beta Nu Delta.

“Sponsorship” is the provision of cash or services by the sponsor for an agreed set of benefits

from Beta Nu Delta. Sponsorship involves a contract of goodwill between the sponsor and the

recipient. This contract must clearly specify the responsibilities of both parties. Government

funding is not defined as sponsorship.

Beta Nu Delta will use fundraising to actively seek sponsorship and donations to support activities

that look after the interests of the Beta Nu Delta, nursing community in the Philippines, and of the Filipino nursing in general.

  • Beta Nu Delta will actively seek sponsorship and encourage donations from sponsors.  As an organisation, BND may elect to have exclusive sponsorship with other organisations in return for a higher level of visibility and a higher sponsorship fee. In these situations, BND will refuse to accept other sponsors in the same field or industry.
  • Sponsorship over (Php 5,000) will be acknowledged by written contractual agreements between Beta Nu Delta and the prospective partner.
  • All sponsorships will be conducted in an open and transparent manner and Beta Nu Delta will formally thank all sponsors for their involvement via written communication.
  • Expenditure of funds raised through sponsorship shall be agreed upon by the Beta Nu Delta Committee.
  • Sponsorship of any particular project or event sanctioned by Beta Nu Delta will not entitle any sponsor to influence any decision.
  • Beta Nu Delta will not enter into any sponsorship where association with the prospective partner would jeopardize the financial, legal or moral integrity of Beta Nu Delta or adversely impact upon Beta Nu Delta standing and reputation within the community. Any organisation that has the potential to involve BND in controversial issues, or expose BND to adverse criticism will not be considered for sponsorship or as a sponsor. Any sponsorship that could compromise or be seen to compromise BND’s ability to exercise its role impartially on behalf of its members or could diminish the public’s confidence in BND will be deemed as not suitable.
  • Beta Nu Delta may endorse products, organisations or projects that aid the cause, policy or interests of Filipino nursing and Beta Nu Delta may receive remuneration for such endorsements.
  • Beta Nu Delta will not endorse products, organisations or projects where association with the prospective partner would jeopardize the financial, legal or moral integrity of Beta Nu Delta or adversely impact upon Beta Nu Delta standing and reputation within the community. Organisations that conflict with the objectives and mission statement of BND may include (but are not limited to) alcohol companies; casinos or gambling institutions; sexual or gender organisations; political organisations; tobacco companies
