Concordia GS Dean Named 2nd Dr. Rose Constantino Visiting Nurse Scholar

The Society's visiting nurse scholar project is moving forward with vitality and vigor. Recently, Dr. Cyruz Tuppal is awarded the 2nd Dr. Rose Constantino Visiting Nurse Scholarship.

Currently the Dean of the Graduate School of Concordia College in Manila, Dr. Tuppal boasts impressive educational credentials: registered nurse and midwife, 2 masteral degrees, a doctorate in management science, and another doctorate in industrial psychology. He obtained these degrees before reaching 27 years old. He is also a law student at the Arellano University.

"Following Dr. Malimbag's scholarship term, Dr. Tuppal's designation helps sustain the academic life of the Society", according to Prof. Jerome Babate, the BND national president.

Managed by the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society, the Visiting Nurse Scholar Project makes available starting this year a distinguished scholar. The scholar who is a doctorally-prepared nurse visits colleges and universities, spending a day, meeting informally with students and faculty members, taking part in classroom discussions, and giving a public lecture open to the entire academic community.

The visits are designed primarily for undergraduate and graduate participation and maybe for the local nursing community.

The purpose of the program is to contribute to the intellectual life of the campus by making possible an exchange of ideas between the Visiting Nurse Scholar and the resident faculty and students.
