FNI International Nursing Mission: Promising Gains

Promising gains from the 1st FNI International Nursing Mission were netted.

The team composed of FJ Babate (team leader), Dr. Judith Evangelista (Nurse Manager, Veterans Medical Center), Lorlie Faith Gardose and Audrey Gardose had compleat experiences after completing the four-day mission (held between April 18 and 22) in the island-state of Singapore.

The mission centered on learning the best practices on nursing service in Singapore which included visits to KK Women and Children's Hospital and the National University Hospital as well as visit to the School of Nursing, National University of Singapore. They had the opportunity to meet several Filipino nurses working in the said hospitals.

The team also had the chance to do excursions in neighboring countries like Malaysia (Johor Bahru) and Indonesia (Batam Island).

Hopefully, the second edition next year would attract more Filipino nurses.
