Julius Aquino was Guest Speaker in the BND Event

General Santos City, June 29 - Three chapters of the Beta Nu Delta Nursing Society jointly held their first
inter-chapter acquaintance party and membership election ceremony held at BJs' Restaurant.

Eight (8) senior nursing students from the Alpha chapter were inducted to membership. Among them were Efren Catimbang Jr., Katherine Grace Aquino, Cecille Ruth Garciano, Mairille Paje, Kim Lochinvar Salamanca, Moniene Tabaco, Ma. Cinthya Balayon and Jayson Pimentel.

Jovelyn Alaba, the president of the Alpha chapter (Notre Dame of Dadiangas University), welcomed the
members who attended the event which included the dignitaries of the Society: Francis Deposa, FJ Babate,
Freddie Siao and the national secretary, Diana Grace Fronda. However, the night belonged to the guest
speaker of the event who was on special vacation to the country with his daughter.

Julius Aquino, one of the venerable founding members of the Society, feted his fellow BND members with
moving statements. He gave a short account of his life in the Philippines prior to moving to the United
Kingdom in the early 2000's. His challenge to the young ase well as alumni members was impressive.

As a token of appreciation, Mr. Aquino received the commemorative shirt of the Society's Darlene
Dilangalen Borromeo Nursing Leadership Program.

A sumptuous dinner was served and a fancy cake to the new inductees was likewise served. Several pictures of
this event are now available in the Society's website (www.betanudelta.com).
